The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking an advanced skilled business analyst to serve as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Manager. The incumbent will be directly responsible for managing the application level design, development, implementation, security, maintenance and training of a new Electronic Health Record system for the college. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the third largest public dental school in the United States, and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten sections or academic units. All major ADA-recognized dental specialties are represented.

The incumbent is expected to strategically analyze and develop processes and procedures throughout the lifecycle from implementation to ongoing system usage to include but not limited to billing, workflows, dental procedures, form usage, quality assurance, outcomes evaluation, report generation, and research data extraction in the clinical areas. The incumbent will play a critical role as the liaison between the IS Department, clinical operations, and vendor representatives to ensure complete integration. This position requires advanced knowledge of IT operations and data management and will be expected to quickly develop knowledge of the EHR and clinical systems and operations. The incumbent will serve as the College of Dentistry’s expert on the specific needs and requirements of the EHR system and is expected to project this expertise using clear and concise oral/written communications skills.

This position requires successful completion of a background check and drug & alcohol screening.

This is a full time position. The EHR Manager will occasionally be required to work weekend or holiday hours when necessary and travel to appropriate training/user events as determined by the Director of Information Systems.

Required: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major or minor in computer science or a closely related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience performing analysis of business and user needs and delivering system solutions directly to end users in a fast paced environment. Skilled communicator serving as liaison between the end-users and technical resources. Experience with needs prioritization, systems administration and data reporting. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technology training programs is a plus.
