Duties and Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Advancement Communications’ primary responsibilities will be ensuring that letters, speeches, presentations, and any other communications materials needed by the Senior Vice President for Advancement are produced at the highest level in a timely fashion; and to produce compelling deliverables – including donor proposals, Annual Giving campaign materials and more – for central and academic partners.
Reporting directly to the Office of Advancement’s Chief Communications Officer, the Associate Director is a member of a proactive team that works to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, responsiveness, and flexibility, enabling the group to address challenges and offers creative solutions. S/he must be a master storyteller and editor, someone who can combine creative writing and visuals, with research and interviews to elicit emotion from an audience of one or many.

Required Experience
Possess a comprehensive multimedia skill set that includes photo and video editing, and digital content creation/graphic design. 5 years of professional writing/strategic communications experience; 5 years of proposal/persuasive writing; 5 years of executive communications experience. 3 years of experience with Adobe products, including InDesign and Photoshop; 3 years of social media experience.
