Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises the Accounts Payable team in the P2P Services Organization; responsible for all Accounts Payable entry, invoicing, payment, disbursement, and reallocation processes; oversees documentation and maintenance of all records, reports, and performance metrics; ensures efficient, accurate, and timely processing of invoices; implements system improvements to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness of all functions; provides supervision to Accounts Payable staff; sets clear objectives and performance measures for team members; hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates employees; ensures cross-training and development of team members; liaison to vendors and university departments; provides a high level of customer service and resolves issues or processing difficulties; ensures all Accounts Payable policies and procedures are followed; collaborates with other university business units; attends meetings and ongoing trainings; backs up Accounts Payable Manager-Central A/P.

Position Requirements

:  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience. Two years supervisory experience in Accounts Payable or similar processing environment; considerable experience in financial and procurement systems; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong leadership, team-building, and problem solving skills; logical thought process, with a strong attention to detail; aptitude to lead, coach and manage staff to be successful; ability to adjust, adapt and thrive in an environment of change.

Desired:

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 8.4 including Accounts Payable module.
