Duties and Responsibilities

The Storekeeper is responsible for fulfillment of gas cylinders and delivery preparation based on orders received from stock. Replenishes gas cylinders at various nursing stations from the staging area where cylinders are stored in the Main Ohio State Medical Center, Ohio State East Hospital, and Care Point East (off-campus). Including transporting cylinders throughout the medical centers and maintaining cylinder par levels; responds to customer requests and inquiries; acts as a liaison to customers, particularly OSUMC staff during hospital deliveries. All deliveries are tracked using a handheld barcode scanner at the point of delivery and pick-up. performs data entry to bill customers, track cylinders, audits data entry and manifest for accuracy; pulls stock for orders in the gas warehouse; fills liquid nitrogen containers for deliveries; may serve as a back-up to Gas Warehouse Supervisor position; provides coverage in other Stores business units as needed. Personal transportation is required from the bulk chemical warehouse to the medical centers to make deliveries. The department will provide a parking pass to be used while parked on main campus.

Additional Information:

This position reports to multiple satellite locations on and off campus; involves repeatedly lifting 100 pounds; works in a variety of settings, including non-air-conditioned warehouse environment, and operating multiple forklifts. Position Requirements

Desired qualifications:

Experience and training in customer service, data entry; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, PeopleSoft and warehouse/distribution processes desired.
