Duties and Responsibilities

Serves within the department of Procure to Pay Services. Maintains warehouse inventory utilizing inventory locations according to the warehouse plan. Maintains warehouse records and is responsible for warehouse cleanliness. Tracks GovDeals inventory and assists in GovDeals pickups. Helps with the unloading, sorting, and receiving of surplus materials. Helps tag and move material into the sales area. Assists university employees during transfer day. Preforms assigned functions during public sale day to assist customers, write sales tickets, and load vehicles. Provides back-up to other personnel within the business unit including assisting with disposal request pickups if necessary. May perform some functions in the Surplus Property Management System (SPMS). May assist in scheduling GovDeals pickups.

Position Requirements

Desired qualifications:

Forklift experience; experience operating various types of warehouse material handling equipment; detailed oriented and capable of working in a fast paced environment; experience in customer service; team oriented; must have reliable transportation.

Required Experience

Required:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences plus: one course in record keeping (or one month of experience); one course in inventory control (or one month of experience); or equivalent.

This position involves repeatedly lifting 100 pounds; works in a variety of settings, including non-air-conditioned warehouse environment, and operating multiple forklifts.
