Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides electrical engineering expertise to support Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) Operations and various design and construction projects managed by FOD. Writes reports regarding electrical issues, represents Ohio State with Ohio State Energy Partners (OSEP), identifies, reviews, and resolves electrical issues during planning, design, and construction in accordance with University standards and project requirements. Assists in various tasks such as validating the feasibility of energy conservation measures, engineering design, development of Building Design Standards, studies relating to infrastructure planning and design, and coordination with project management and internal and external customers.

Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited ABET program; 8-10 years of experience in electrical design relating to facilities and infrastructure projects (<600V); experience working with and designing electrical power and distribution systems, high voltage (138KV/15KV) transformers, switchgear, electric relay coordination and fault protection and indoor/outdoor lighting; knowledge of and experience in local, state, and national codes and standards; knowledge of and experience in the use of software for electrical design and analysis; valid driver license.
Desired
Professional Engineer Registration in Ohio; experience in design of large projects for electric utilities.
