Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares financial statements and disclosures for separately audited university departments and affiliates and audit workpapers. Works with Controller, college and support unit staff to provide timely responses to information requests from external auditors. Provides accounting support for the university’s internal bank, including maintaining an internal loan database and preparing internal bank financial statements. Supports monthly financial reporting and Board of Trustees reporting processes, including preparation of interim adjustments, fluctuation analysis and development of narratives. Reviews proposed and new accounting standards, assesses impacts on university reporting entities and assists in implementation of new standards. Performs other accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Position Requirements
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Preparation of GAAP-based financial statements. Microsoft Access and Excel.
Desired:
Experience with PeopleSoft financial applications, The Advancement System (TAS), CRIS, or similar ERP systems. The successful candidate will also have strong analytic skills, good written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to adapt to new business technologies/processes, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
