Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for monthly and year-end accounting reconciliations and financial reporting supporting the university and its affiliates monthly and year-end financial reporting. Responsibilities include collaborating with units for timely and accurate monthly and year-end financial statement preparation and in conjunction with the university’s annual audit. The position works with the Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager to ensure audit and review requirements are incorporated into the accounting and reporting financial systems. This includes reviewing and implementing proposed and new accounting standards. The position participates in audit planning and status meetings with external auditors.

Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday, or other financial and ERP applications; hands-on experience or involvement in processes or systems to improve the ‘last mile of finance’ is a plus; strong analytic skills, good written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to adapt to new business technologies/processes, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Required Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license; at least three years of experience in accounting and financial reporting; broad-based knowledge of all areas of accounting and financial reporting including the preparation of financials statement including related MD&A, footnote disclosures, and supplemental schedules; excellent Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills are a necessity.
