Duties and Responsibilities
The reporting analyst serves as a member of the team providing fundraising and alumni relations data analysis and reporting services for Advancement and the University. This position provides data extraction and presentation assistance using visual query tools, custom built standard outputs and Microsoft SQL Server reporting tools. Results include generating communications lists, providing support for direct marketing efforts, delivering data analysis lists and building ad-hoc and production level reports.
Builds and tests queries and performs data validation while managing multiple projects with set deadlines. The reporting analyst identifies problems, anticipates needs, resolves data file problems, creates and maintains documentation for processes, exceptions, and decision-making criteria for projects and ongoing processes.
Position Requirements
Required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience; Must understand database query tools, gathering user requirements, data quality control, problem-resolution and excellent customer service practices when working with end users; Functional and technical proficiency with office productivity software including, but not limited to MS Excel and MS Access.
Desired
Data analysis, report development, troubleshooting, and experience with a CRM system (preferably Blackbaud); Working with data for the purposes of fundraising; Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services; Experience with MS SQL Server.
