Duties and Responsibilities

The Ohio State University, one of the nation’s leading public universities, is seeking applications for the 24-month term position of Policy and Training Coordinator in the Office of University Compliance and Integrity.  With the vision of supporting a university philosophy that values compliance and integrity, the Policy and Training Coordinator will support a centralized compliance function that is a leading model in higher education.

Reporting to the Policy and Training Director, the Policy and Training Coordinator will support the university policy function and further advance the university policy process.  The position will help coordinate the university policy process, including implementing a governance structure, reinforcing risk mitigation, and coaching and collaborating with policy coordinators. The position will work with leaders throughout the university to optimize protocols and procedures for designing, drafting, approving, and communicating new and revised policies.  The Title will support the University Policy Review Committee and maintain an active database and website of all university-wide policies and other governing documents.

The Policy and Training Coordinator will also support a university-wide compliance training program for faculty, staff, and students.  The position will assist in the development and implementation of a university-wide compliance training program, including identifying compliance training requirements, establishing best practices, and supporting governance. The position will also engage in the ongoing implementation and governance of the university’s learning management system.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience with managing critical projects in a large organization; demonstrated ability to create and implement processes in a matrix reporting environment; exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal guidance; detail-oriented and able to analyze complex information; facility in leading teams of colleagues toward broad goals with clear planning and specific timeframes; ability to provide a high level of professional interaction with all levels of diverse stakeholders throughout the university; extensive experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience in policy development, training coordination, project management, process improvement, and leveraging technology to communicate with large audiences.
