Duties and Responsibilities

The Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) has been chosen by the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). The MEP program provides easy access to the university researchers, facilities, equipment, and students in support of small and medium-sized businesses. CDME is seeking a Growth Advisor for the MEP program to provide strategic growth business consulting services for manufacturing companies throughout the State of Ohio, with an emphasis on those in the Central Ohio Region. This position will collaborate with program leaders to identify companies which require growth advisory services and engage with client companies to provide advisory services. Local travel is required with this position.

Position Requirements

Master's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, executive leadership, or business advisory services. Experience developing and executing strategic growth plans for small or mid-sized manufacturing companies. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Lean Six Sigma and PMP experience is highly desirable, as well as experience with development and execution of capital access plans, business development and partnership development experience.
