Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Strategist role combines relationship-building, strategic marketing, brand stewardship, portfolio management and project management skills in order to develop high-impact marketing plans for assigned projects and partners within The Ohio State University. This position works closely with creative and technical professionals within the University Marketing unit to ensure proper prioritization and execution of deliverables. The work requires the management of competing interests and deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree; Minimum of six years of experience in a marketing/communications position; Ability to decipher marketing research for strong insights leading to good communications;  Proven experience developing integrated marketing plans across different colleges and departments; Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize large amounts of information in succinct in cohesive manner; Demonstrated command of marketing strategies and tactics, including interactive marketing (Digital/Social)

Desired:

Knowledge and familiarity with higher education marketing; Proven experience producing high-quality, executive-level presentations.
