Duties and Responsibilities

The Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) within the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University seeks applications to fill a Marketing & Outreach Coordinator position.

The Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) has been chosen by the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). The MEP program is seeking applicants for a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator position. This position is responsible for establishment and ongoing management of MEP@OSU’s partner outreach program. The MEP program provides easy access to the university researchers, facilities, equipment and students in support of small and medium sized businesses. The MEP at Ohio State program will focus on providing value-added manufacturing consulting services to manufacturers in Ohio. The initiative will also create and maintain a network of regional support partners assist these companies in the execution of their growth plans.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer & Information Science or equivalent work experience; Strong working knowledge of networking concepts (VLANS, Routing, and Firewall security) are required; three or more years of working in IT are required; strong problem solving, customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with a diverse client base are necessary; A+ and Newtorking +.
