Duties and Responsibilities
Student Health Services serves the health care needs of OSU students. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct support and assistance to physicians and mid-level practitioners in the provision of ambulatory medical care; supports clinical service areas by greeting patients, verifying demographic information, obtaining chief complaint, vital signs and other clinical information; assists providers with procedures; administers injections and other medication. May work some evening and Saturday hours. Requires successful completion of a criminal background check. For a complete application, submit both a cover letter and resume.
Position Requirements
Required QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduated from an approved school of practical nursing; current Ohio LPN-Pharmacology license or ability to obtain prior to start date; American Heart Association Basic Life Support – Health Care Worker certification or able to obtain prior to start date; IV Certification and experience; experience with electronic health information management systems.
Required Experience
Desired:
2 years’ work experience in an ambulatory care setting; experience working with an adolescent age population; working knowledge of communicable disease and control.
