Duties and Responsibilities
The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) at The Ohio State University is seeking an HR Manager experienced in HR operations, continuous improvement and customer service to manage the HR service center. Under the direction of the OAA Human Resources Manager, the HR Service Center Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of service center team and operations; develops, implements and updates standard operating procedures, and maintains focus on continuous process improvements through the implementation of solutions to streamline and gain efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to develop and effectively lead a team, provide performance counseling and development opportunities; demonstrated success leading and executing process/service improvement programs in a large scale organization; proactive and self-motivated with a keen eye towards continuous process improvements; strong organization and communication skills, and highly attentive to detail; high degree of customer focus and proven success establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers; excellent follow-through, high degree of professionalism and confidentiality, and the ability to readily adapt to different customer needs.
Desired: Certified Professional in HR; project management training & certification; experience with Peoplesoft HRIS, eVerify, reporting, and timekeeping/leave systems.
