DRT Power Systems, LLC – West Chester, a division of DRT Holdings is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for connecting manufacturing technology and capabilities with customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer interaction on engineering topics
- Drive the start-up of relocated product to a new location
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, create process routings and operation sheets
- Design and procure necessary tooling and fixturing within budgets
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment
- Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements
- Identify and reduce sources of labor efficiency variations
- Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
- Support the quality function through integration of ISO/quality documentation and manufacturing methods instructions
- Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the Cell
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 10+ years experience in a related field
- Previous aerospace experience required
- Lean Manufacturing training is preferred
- Lathe and milling machining experience
- Understanding of ERP
- Working knowledge of BOM’s, Routings, Unigraphics/NX, & solid modeling
