Inspector 1st Shift

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the final inspection of tooling for compliance with drawings and specifications.  Essential duties include:

  • Follows QP-21 Final Parts Inspection Process to ensure verification of specifications and dimensions of all parts prior to shipment (internal or external)
  • Obtains necessary fixtures and gauging to verify that the parts are within the specified parameters
  • Selects gauging to maximize repeatability and reproducibility of the measured parameters
  • Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and reports them via a nonconforming material report (NCMR)
Position Requirements
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read & interpret DRT & customer documents and drawings, including the use of GD&T to interpret drawings
