Duties and Responsibilities
Experience in a real estate department within a university or corporation; site selection and development expertise; accounting and/or finance training; interpretation of financial reports; property management; real estate license; legal training; specialized training from industry-oriented providers such as International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), or Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience in real estate brokerage, real estate investment, facility management, business administration, and/or real estate law; minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role within a real estate department; broad familiarity and experience with a wide array of real estate transactions; general understanding of lease administration and property management processes; ability to negotiate for and achieve desired deal terms; contract drafting, review, and interpretation.
