Duties and Responsibilities
Miami University is seeking to fill a position in our Human Resources department for the Director of Employee Services. The Director of Employee Services is responsible for coordinating and directing the employee/labor relations programs and functions for staff (leave administration, disciplinary processes, collective bargaining, reasonable accommodation requests, workers compensation). These functions include responsibility for developing, interpreting and recommending goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and courses of action.
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations/Law or closely related field and at least seven years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed.. must possess considerable knowledge of management/labor relations and statutory/regulatory requirements related to Human Resources; ability to analyze data and provide recommendations; and, experience with Microsoft Office products at a minimum intermediate excel skill level (pivot tables, formula functions etc.)
