Duties and Responsibilities
Position Description:
The Building Maintenance Supervisor I plans, schedules and supervises maintenance work for the Department of Athletics at multiple athletic facilities. Supervises student staff and contract workers, and performs work for installation, repair and HVAC. Maintains and orders supplies and equipment. Prepares job estimates. Assists with set up and event needs for athletic events. Accompanies engineers on new projects to review work and/or supply additional information. Schedules and oversees HVAC and renovation services between Athletics, Physical Facilities and contractors. Supervises and helps to direct HVAC, electrical and other projects in athletic facilities. Hires, trains, schedules and supervises regular and student staff. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Per Classified Civil Svc Specs. Required experience: Extensive knowledge of trades including HVAC and general building maintenance. Must be able to work nights and weekends and be available for 24 hour call.
