Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Mail Services functional team overseeing the Meter Mail Room and Mail Delivery, ensuring each area is properly staffed and operating efficiently to include customer satisfaction through excellent service and provision of responsive and accurate answers to university faculty, staff and suppliers. Directly handles complex customer service issues, monitors and measures workflow. Responsible for the adherence to established customer service, mail and general shipping policies and procedures. Oversees the selection, development, and training of staff to accomplish business strategies. Monitors the performance and activities of staff. Assists with the formation of policies and procedures and recommends improvements for streamlined operations. Tracks, maintains and provides input to key performance indicators to monitor productivity.
Position Requirements
3-4 years’ experience related to inbound receiving operations; supervisory experience; ability to lead and train others including giving directions and reviewing quality of work performed; detail-oriented and strong work ethic; adaptable and the ability to work well with others; self-starter with excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment; experience using Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft applications, and related Mail postage systems and basic logistic tracking systems; ability to lift 35 lbs.
