Duties and Responsibilities

The Ariba Sr. Business System Analyst (ABSA) supports the AGC Automotive business unit’s IT operations as a member of the Business Applications team. The Ariba Sr. Business Systems Analyst (ABSA) will work directly with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify and validate business and solution requirements to meet the needs of the Purchasing and Supply Chain businesses. He/she will launch, maintain and support Purchasing and Supply Chain IT systems including Ariba.

Responsibilities will include

  • Work with business stakeholders to plan, design, develop and launch supplier portal and supplier EDI, in support of MMOG compliance and automotive business processes
  • Actively participate in project workshops to design and blueprint the business requirements
  • Develop functional specifications
  • Be hands-on with development and configuration of Ariba-on-Cloud software
  • Lead the end to end testing and deployment of Ariba solutions to multiple sites, along with supplier onboarding
  • Provide best practices for managing master data for purchasing and supply chain
  • Actively participate in all testing phases  –  System, Integration, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Ariba conversion and cutover
  • Responsible for ongoing support, enhancements, upgrade and maintenance of Ariba and other purchasing and supply chain IT systems
  • Facilitate the creation of system documentation and training user guides, provide on-site knowledge transfer and training on Ariba solution to super-users in plants
  • Serve as Ariba Subject Matter Expert in pre and post production and validation environments
  • Facilitate ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of Ariba solution and ongoing supplier onboarding and training
Position Requirements
  • College degree in computer science or software engineering and/or 7+ years equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience with strong understanding of Ariba configuration and workflows
  • 2+ full life-cycle implementations of Ariba applications
  • Proven experience in hands-on design, development, and implementation of Ariba software in a manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated project management expertise and proven experience in conducting workshops & managing customer expectations
  • Experience with models that include multiple and diverse ERP systems
  • Flexibility to travel for business needs within NA region (US, Mexico and Canada). Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and ability to identify requirements, issues and design solutions
  • Customer facing presence and experience interacting with multiple levels within an organization
  • Ability to deliver projects successfully under fixed time constraints
