Duties and Responsibilities

AGC is currently seeking a Sales Manager to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales accounts and through the establishment of strong customer satisfaction. Identifies objectives, developments and implements strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales earnings.

Position Requirements
  • Achieve and/or exceed established KPI’s (ie. New Vehicle Sourcing, New Vehicle Launch, ROS, APR, Value-up Activity) by maintaining current business and developing new market plans/opportunities
  • Establish and maintain day-to-day communication with New Model and Mass Production quality and delivery contacts, as well as Engineering and Purchasing groups
  • Organize and maintain detail records of account and program information including program schedules, cost/price, part design levels, market share, and production forecasts
  • Gather competitive intelligence regarding customers and the automotive glass market
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating responses to customers in all areas including commercial, quality, delivery, and development
  • Process customer quotation requests
  • Support Program Manager on new program launches
  • Negotiate yearly price/cost downs (APR) with customer
  • Coordinate engineering change implementation including cost gathering from internal resources, engineering change quotations to customer, and implementation timing
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) preferably with technical, engineering, or business focus area
  • Five years sales related experience required
  • Three years OEM Automotive industry experience required – Must have strong knowledge of GM system and requirements
  • Ability to travel 20% – 50%
  • Ability to negotiate within approved pricing and profitability levels. Approval must be obtained from senior leader for negotiation outside of approved levels and for all future business/pricing
  • Ability to adjust pricing must be discussed individually with senior leader for approval
  • Moderate to advanced sales skills including strategy development, pricing, negotiation, and customer relations
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills including use of Windows products (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other software products
