AGC Automotive located in Bellefontaine, OH is seeking a qualified Lead Production Shift Coordinator.  In this role, you will be responsible for supervision of the production operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures in order to meet KPI’s for the entire shift.

This is a salary exempt position with bonus potential, medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, paid holidays and 401k with Company match.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead teams to accomplish all plant and department goals while promoting a safe work environment
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and job changes
  • Ensures a safe workplace for all associates and visitors by maintaining 5S objectives for the plant
  • Ensures quality of product to customer specifications are met consistently
  • Ensure acceptable associate performance through appraisal, training, coaching and counseling
  • Assist with Problem Solving activities
  • Effectively listen to Associates and work towards resolving concerns
  • Overtime for department meetings and weekend scheduled production
  • Supports development of Production Coordinators through coaching and continued training activities
  • Conducts assessment verification sheets for direct reports as needed
  • Effectively communicate both written and verbal with all levels of AGCNA
  • Ability to halt or suspend operations based upon safety or quality concerns
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of leadership and manufacturing experience
  • Two to Four year Technical Degree preferred
  • Requires safety to be priority #1
  • Strong process knowledge and skills
  • Available to work on all shifts and on weekends as required
  • Desire to work as part of a team and have good work habits
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, KT, etc.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Effectively communicate both written and verbal with all levels of AGCNA
  • Ability to work through and influence others
